[After having changed into his uniform, with the journal tucked safely in the chest pocket of his jacket, Marco makes his way across the square to the grocery store. It's still early in the morning and he could go for some breakfast. In fact, if he's going to be living by himself, he should get some rations for his apartment. Food might distract him from the ache in his back, too. The only trouble is, he isn't used to such a wide selection of it.
The moment he enters the store, his eyes widen in surprise. Fresh fruit, meat, many different kinds of bread, cheese... What's considered a rare delicacy in his own world seems to be standard supply here. There's colorful candies, food in cans, food in jars, bubbly drinks, pastries... He spends a good ten minutes just staring indecisively at the selection of meats. Does he dare take a whole ham? Maybe he should ask someone. Just to make sure. The moment someone else enters the store, he approaches them.]
